Despite a tough start, Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett started generating believers by the end of his rookie year. One of which is veteran All-Pro Cam Heyward, who's seen a lot in his 12 seasons in Pittsburgh.

Appearing on the "3 and Out" podcast recently with John Middlekauff, Heyward said he thinks "the sky's the limit" for the promising young QB who went 7-2 down the stretch in 2022.

"Every time we've needed a big drive at the end of a game, he was able to answer the call and answer the bell," the Steelers captain said. "I just look forward to him not waiting for the fourth quarter, let's get off the bus doing that."

Heyward went on to say that the pieces that the team has surrounded Pickett with going into year two "can do wonders for" his development as he continues to learn how to be a franchise QB.

"I think Kenny has done a tremendous job to get us to this point. But, you know, I know he's chomping at the bit for more," Heyward added.

The Steelers figure to be a team that could make some noise in the crowded AFC North this season. But a lot of that will fall on the shoulders of their former first-round pick at quarterback.
