With Week 9 of the 2021 college football season in the books, everyone is updating their rankings heading into November.

ESPN college football analyst Kirk Herbstreit revealed his latest rankings following Ohio State's big home win over Penn State on Saturday night.

Fans have an issue with the ESPN college football analyst's latest ranking.

Herbstreit has Georgia at No. 1, Alabama at No. 2, Ohio State at No. 3 and Cincinnati at No. 4. Many have an issue with Cincinnati being ranked behind Ohio State. The Buckeyes have one loss - an ugly home loss to Oregon - while the Bearcats are undefeated.

"It begins. Herbstreit has Ohio State 3 and Cincinnati 4. Bearcats are unbeaten and won at Notre Dame. OSU has a loss and its best win is by 9 at home against a Penn State team capable of losing to Illinois. Sheesh. This is why we need to expand the playoff," Brady McCollough tweeted.

Many other fans aren't happy.

Of course, there are many who believe that Ohio State would beat Cincinnati - rather decisively, perhaps - on a neutral field. ESPN college football insider Heather Dinich says that's often what matters when ranking teams.

The first College Football Playoff rankings of the season will come out on Tuesday night.
