Just over two weeks ago, Brenden Rice, the son of Hall of Fame wide receiver Jerry Rice, announced his transfer from Colorado.

"First off I would like to express my gratitude to the loving fanbase and coaches of Colorado," he said in a statement. "Since I committed, Buff nation has shown me nothing but love and support and for that I am forever grateful."

After taking just over two weeks to think about his football future, Rice knows where he's playing next. On Tuesday afternoon, the talented wide receiver announced his transfer to USC.

Naturally, fans weighed in on Rice's decision to leave one Pac-12 school for another. Here's some of the reaction from around social media.

"USC needed more size/length at the receiver position and gets that with Colorado transfer Brenden Rice," one reporter said.

"OH MY GODDDDDDDDDD…," said another fan.

"Colorado transfer WR Brenden Rice has committed to USC. That’s a great get. The son of Jerry Rice was one of the best available wideouts in the portal," reporter Max Olson said.

Rice made a minor impact during his freshman season, racking up six receptions for 120 yards and two touchdowns. During the 2021 campaign, he hauled in 21 receptions for 299 yards and three touchdowns.

His best game of the season came against the Oregon Ducks when he had five receptions for 102 yards and a touchdown.

USC got a good one.
