College Football World Reacts To Colin Cowherd's Statement

Colin Cowherd talks Russell Wilson trade rumors.

The college football world isn't really buying what Colin Cowherd said about the Nebraska football program.

The Huskers lost to Illinois on Saturday, 30-22. Nebraska dropped to 0-1 on the season and is now 12-21 since Scott Frost took over the program.

Nebraska was arguably the best program in America in the 1990s and remained competitive for most of the 2000s and even early 2010s. Since then, though, it's been pretty bleak.

"Maybe it’s not always the football coaches fault at Nebraska. Things change. What works in 1995 doesn’t always crush in 2021. In any business," he tweeted.

Sure, there are issues with Nebraska's program, but they should not be this bad. There are plenty of reasons why the Huskers should be a consistent 8 or 9-win program that can routinely contend for a Big Ten West Division championship. If Iowa and Wisconsin can do it, the Huskers should be able to, as well. College football fans across the country

">are pointing this out.

"Tell me the difference between Nebraska and say Iowa/Wisconsin the last 20 years besides coaching? It is 100% the coaching," one fan tweeted.

"It's working at Wisconsin, Iowa, Northwestern," another fan added.

"In 2019, Iowa went 10-3, Wisconsin went 10-4, and Minnesota went 11-2. Right now, Iowa State is #7 in the AP poll and is coming off of a 9-2 season. When is the last time Nebraska even won 6 games? Nebraska has every advantage over all of these schools and still can't win," one fan wrote.

Where will Nebraska turn if the Huskers move on from Frost?

Some of the Huskers' fan base is already listing some potential candidates.
