Late Thursday night, rumors started to emerge about who would be the College GameDay guest picker for this weekend.

The GameDay Crew traveled to Ames, Iowa for a huge in-state showdown between No. 9 Iowa State and No. 10 Iowa. The Cyclones were the home team, but the GameDay guest was rumored to be an Iowa fan.

Actor Ashton Kutcher was rumored to be the guest picker. Iowa State fans weren't pleased with the news because Kutcher is an Iowa fan, but the home team usually gets the guest picker.

Well, just 24 hours later, ESPN confirmed that Kutcher will be the guest picker for this weekend's games.

Let's just say Iowa State fans weren't pleased with the news.

"Who's got two thumbs and is the celebrity guest picker tomorrow morning on ESPN on College GameDay? This guy," Kutcher said. He made it abundantly clear who he would be rooting for, with an emphatic "Go Hawkeyes!"

The GameDay guest picker generally has an allegiance to the home team. That obviously isn't the case this weekend.

Perhaps Iowa State will be even more fired up for today's game against the Hawkeyes as a result.
