We're still an hour from kickoff as of writing but you can already tell that this Colorado-Colorado State game is going to be an intense one.

According to Jake Shapiro of DenverSports.com, Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders and some Colorado State players started jawing at each other on the field during pregame warmups.

Per the report, a Colorado State player swatted a practice pass from Sanders to wide receiver Travis Hunter out of the air.

Sanders didn't take kindly to that at all and in the video below a crowd of players from both teams started going at it before being separated. Though that didn't stop Sanders from getting in a few words as the Rams players were led off the field.

What was initially just a seemingly-mismatched pairing between a top 25 team and a program that's struggled for the last five years gained a ton of juice on Thursday when Colorado State head coach Jay Norvell made comments about "wearing sunglasses and a hat" that Colorado head coach Deion Sanders took very personally.

Colorado's players have pledged to crush Colorado State and just about everyone is expecting the Buffaloes to cover the 23.5-point spread in short order.

The game will be played at 10 p.m. ET and will air on ESPN.
