Former Minnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook hasn't said much publicly since his release several weeks ago. But he said quite a lot today and gave a noteworthy update on his health.
In an interview with ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter, Cook said that he got surgery on his labrum back in March and expects to be much stronger this season than perhaps any season he's had so far.
Taking to Twitter after the interview, Cook had two words to describe how he's doing right now. "Feels great!!" he wrote on Twitter.
It was one of the few tweets that Cook has written himself since his release by the Vikings earlier this summer.
Dalvin Cook is coming off four straight Pro Bowl seasons and has averaged over 1,600 yards from scrimmage and 11 touchdowns per year since 2019.
But much like Ezekiel Elliott, there hasn't exactly been a mad scramble to sign Cook to a deal yet. There haven't been any reports of a visit with any NFL team in the days since Cook was released by the Vikings.
Some of that may have to do with his alleged salary demands.
Whatever the case may be, Cook believes he's primed for a big season - maybe the best of his career. Right now though, the wider NFL world doesn't seem to agree.
