Deion Sanders is adding some context to the viral clip of him telling his sons that they're not going to the NFL next year.

Sitting down with Bleacher Report's Taylor Rooks, Coach Prime discussed the idea of his sons going pro. Saying, it's "completely hypothetical" that Shedeur or Shilo enter the draft in 2024.

You've gotta understand now that we're never caught off-guard by anything. Daddy's been around the block a couple times, so we've discussed every possible scenario that can be had with [all three] of my sons. ... So we've talked about everything. There's no surprises under the sun for us.

Deion went on to say that there's a lot more that goes into the decision of turning pro than being good on the field. Adding that his son, Shedeur, doesn't want to take a backseat to anyone (referencing projected No. 1 pick Caleb Williams).

It's about a whole lot of other things... teams, position, round projection, all of that plays a role. Because now with NIL ... shoot, you can make just as much money here as you can there unless you're one of the first five picks. But Shedeur don't want to be two to nobody. He don't get down like that. ... Shedeur ain't no backseat rider. He drive his Maybach. He don't have a driver in it, he drives it.

Sanders has already vaulted himself into the conversation of being the potential top pick in the 2025 NFL Draft should he choose to wait. And fellow star Travis Hunter can't transfer or enter the draft next spring anyway.

So why not help his dad continue to build something special in Boulder?
