Details Emerge From Carson Wentz's Latest Injury Status

The Indianapolis Colts are preparing for Sunday's divisional showdown with the Tennessee Titans without knowing the status of quarterback Carson Wentz.

Wentz suffered two sprained ankles in the Colts' Week 2 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. He's officially questionable for this weekend as Indianapolis aims to avoid an 0-3 start.

According to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo and Tom Pelissero , Wentz spent Monday in a boot and on a scooter at the team facility. However, he still has a chance to play on Sunday.

"Nobody has ruled him out at this point for Sunday's game," Pelissero said. "If Wentz can not go, then Indianapolis has a decision to make."

The decision would be between Jacob Eason, who replaced Wentz the other day, or practice squad quarterback Brett Hundley.

Hundley has more overall NFL experience than Eason, having played in 18 career games with nine starts. However, most of that action came with the Green Bay Packers back in 2017, and Hundley hasn't appeared in a regular season game since 2019.

As for Eason, the second-year pro played five snaps against the Rams, completing 2-of-5 passes for 25 yards and an interception.

The Colts will take on the Titans in Nashville at 1 p.m. ET Sunday.
