The Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament will become the Elite Eight over the course of the next two days.

Before the Sweet 16 action kicks off on Thursday night, ESPN's Rece Davis was a guest on the Pat McAfee Show where he talked about the upcoming games. Former NBA player Kendrick Perkins asked Davis about the matchup between Duke and Houston specifically, which led to an interesting answer.

"Does Duke stand a chance against Houston?" Perkins asked.

"I think they're going to win the game," Davis said, predicting a sizable upset. "Now, Duke has to display some toughness that at times this season hasn't been manifesting. They haven't been the toughest team when they played North Carolina either time. I think they found a little rhythm, a little edge - Jared McCain is a great shooter."

"And this is more about my worry that Houston will go into a prolonged offensive funk than me thinking Duke is great. So this is more of my concern for Houston offensively - you know what you're getting from them defensively and on the boards. They play their guts out every second of every game so I don't worry about that. But I do worry about them going stone cold."

He then went on to his prediction: "I think Houston is the better team in a series, but I've got Duke in a one-shot deal."

Duke and Houston tip off at 9:39 p.m. ET on CBS on Friday night.
