This afternoon's showdown between Michigan and Ohio State was one of the most-hyped games in the rivalry's history.

With both teams sitting at 11-0 on the season, the Buckeyes and Wolverines had everything to play for. Unfortunately, a very defensive game broke out and the game devolved into a series of punts instead of solid offensive play.

Everyone watching from home couldn't contain their jokes.

"The Iowa Influence has infected Michigan-Ohio State: 3 punts, only 1 1st down in 1st 6 minutes of Wolverines-Buckeyes," college football reporter Brett McMurphy joked.

He was not alone. The majority of the responses to today's game so far had to do with the Hawkeyes and their maligned offense.

"I don’t spot any differences between the Michigan Ohio state game todays versus the Nebraska Iowa game yesterday. Just boring ass football!!" one fan said.

"So when Ohio State/Michigan, or Eagles/Chiefs, trade punts it's beautiful football. But when Iowa and Nebraska do it it's an embarrassment to society," added another.

"Are Michigan and Ohio State colluding to get their punters practice reps in preparation for Iowa? It’s worth asking the question," joked a third.

In the midst of writing this article the Wolverines intercepted a pass from Kyle McCord and put the first points of the game on the board.
