Frank Gore hasn't officially retired from the NFL, but a return to the gridiron seems unlikely. However, he did admit that he would return under one condition.

During an appearance on NFL Network's Good Morning Football, Gore told the crew that he would only return to the NFL if it's the week of the Super Bowl.

"I would say if it would be the week of the Super Bowl," Gore said. "I love the game of football, but I've been in a good place. When you get close to the end of something you love, you get scared. I'm happy where I'm at in life"

The odds of a team calling Gore just a few days before the Super Bowl seem slim, but it makes sense for him to keep that door open since he's still missing a championship ring on his résumé.

If this is the end of Gore's NFL career, he'll finish with 16,000 rushing yards and 81 touchdowns.

As for what's next for Gore, he's actually preparing for a boxing match against former NBA star Deron Williams.

Gore will square off with Williams on Dec. 18 at Amalie Arena in Tampa. It'll be part of the undercard for the Jake Paul vs. Tommy Fury fight.
