As Pat Sajak prepares to depart Wheel of Fortune after decades of being the show host, Vanna White appears to be staying on - just so long as she gets a raise after nearly 20 years.

According to Puck News, White has been making the same $3 million per year salary for the past 18 years and is now seeking a raise. But while White is chasing a much-deserved raise, Jemele Hill and many others were left stunned.

Taking to Twitter, Hill said she was stunned to see that White hasn't gotten a raise once in 18 years.

"I’m stunned at this. Get your money Vanna because that is ridiculous," Hill wrote.

Her comment quickly gained traction and stirred some debate over whether White should get more or be happy to have been so well paid for nearly 20 years.

"I’m asking genuinely for the sake of discussion. Was she (is she) replaceable? I know at this point her name is iconic but it’s a little disingenuous to think there isn’t 100 or 1000 other people in LA who could do her job," one user wrote.

"As usual, Jemele is only presenting half the story. In addition to her salary, Vanna was paid significant bonuses each year instead of salary increases. Also, people aren't watching for Vanna, if she left, it would have zero impact on ratings," wrote another.

"She hasn’t gotta a raise in that long because her and Pat are and still are the highest paid host by a lot. And it’s been like that for a minute. Their was no raise to give if you at the top," a third said.

It'll be interesting to see if White actually does get a new contract once Ryan Seacrest takes over for Sajak next season.
