Even though Alabama is 8-1 this season, it definitely has not been as smooth sailing as other years.

The Crimson Tide have struggled against teams that they normally have a lot of success against and that included the LSU Tigers from this past Saturday.

Alabama won that game by just six points (20-14) as it really struggled on offense throughout. It took that 20-14 lead into the fourth quarter and had to have the defense bail the offense out on more than one occasion.

Alabama also only beat a struggling Florida team by two early in the season and then fell to Texas A&M on a last-second field goal.

ESPN's Kirk Herbstreit went on to the latest episode of the ESPN College Football Podcast and has noticed that something is up with Alabama this year compared to other years.

“This is not the same Alabama team,” Herbstreit said. “They have one first-rounder on defense in Will Anderson, who’s special. The rest of them are good players, but I’m going based on Alabama."

Herbstreit then continued with how Alabama is really talented, but they're still very beatable.

“Bama is a talented team, but they are a beatable team. We’ll see if they’re able to get through this. But right now it’s hard to imagine them beating Auburn on the road and beating Georgia, if they get there, in Atlanta.”

That Alabama-Auburn game is the classic "Iron Bowl" rivalry game which will be played on Nov. 27.

Will the Crimson Tide be able to prove some doubters wrong?
