Look: Dylan Raiola Reveals Why He Picked Georgia Over Nebraska

In a surprise decision, 2024 No. 1 quarterback Dylan Raiola committed to Georgia over USC and Nebraska, where his father had previously been a star lineman.

Speaking to ESPN after making his decision, Raiola said that the "culture" and "standard" at Georgia appealed to him. He said that as time went by, he started to feel stronger and stronger about joining the Bulldogs.

"There's a culture and a standard that I was attracted to," Raiola told ESPN. "The more time that went by, the stronger I felt about Georgia and ultimately led to this decision."

For Georgia fans, it's a massive coup for a team looking for long-term stability at quarterback.

Nebraska fans, on the other hand, have to be kicking themselves after losing out on arguably the best quarterback prospect to express interest in them in years.

Back in May of 2022, Dylan Raiola committed to Ohio State. But at the end of the year, Raiola decided to decommit from Ryan Day's side and reopen his recruitment.

Over the next few months, Georgia, Nebraska and USC would emerge as the favorites to land him.

Now Raiola has his destination for the 2024 season decided and it may not take long for him to start seeing the field for the Bulldogs.

How long will it take for Raiola to become the starter at Georgia?
