ESPN's College GameDay traveled to Ames on Saturday for an exciting matchup between No. 9 Iowa State and No. 10 Iowa.

While the home-team Cyclones are favored in this afternoon's contest, this interstate rivalry should yield a closely-contested final score.

The GameDay hosts were split in their picks, but longtime analyst Lee Corso was decisive in his selection.

Alongside guest picker and Iowa alumnus Ashton Kucher, Corso picked the Hawkeyes in an upset victory -- donning the Herky the Hawk headgear in front of Cyclone-heavy crowd.

Iowa has claimed five straight victories over Iowa State. Corso brought out the Cy-Hawk Trophy to show the Cyclone fans who "haven't seen it in a while" before making his pick. Since Iowa State head coach Matt Campbell took over in Ames, the Cyclones have lost all four matchups to the Hawkeyes

Iowa leads the all-time series 45-22.

The Cy-Hawk Trophy was first presented in 1977 and the two Iowa programs have battled it out in 34 contests since then. In the long history of this great rivalry, this is the first time both teams are ranked in the top-25 -- let alone the top-10.

While history heavily favors the Hawkeyes, this year has a different feel. For the first time in program history, the Cyclones entered the season a preseason top-10 team.

Both teams are coming off Week 1 wins -- Iowa in a decisive 34-6 victory over No. 17 Indiana and Iowa State in a less-convincing 16-10 win over Northern Iowa.

Today's rivalry game will kickoff at 4:25 p.m. ET.
