A funny headline about the Ohio State football program is going viral on social media following Saturday's wild events.

Ohio State throttled Akron on Saturday night, but the Buckeyes' blowout win was not the main story from the contest.

Instead, the main story was a senior player appearing to quit the team during the middle of the game. Ohio State linebacker K’Vaughan Pope walked off the field and into the locker room on Saturday night. He then tweeted some NSFW thoughts, appearing to confirm his decision to quit.

While that's not a laughing matter, one local television station's headline about the decision is going viral on social media.

That's pretty funny.

Ohio State head coach Ryan Day declined to comment on the situation following the contest. He said he wanted to get more information on the situation before giving his opinion.

The Buckeyes, meanwhile, improved to 3-1 on the season with Saturday night's win. Ohio State is set to face Rutgers in New Jersey next weekend.

Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. E.T.
