Patrick Mahomes fiancee, Brittany, was none too pleased with the referees on Sunday. Following a fair catch call by Mecole Hardman, the Pro Bowl returner was hit after the play but there was no yellow flag in sight.

"He just hit him... ." Matthews tweeted.

The star QB's fiancé wasn't the only one miffed by the non-call. Hall of Fame tight end and FS1 personality Shannon Sharpe also noted that a flag should've been thrown for the contact. "That’s a penalty," Sharpe tweeted. "Can’t touch returner once fair catch is signal."

Just a few plays later, Hardman was knocked to the ground after clearly stepping out of bounds by Bengals linebacker Germaine Pratt. And once again no penalty was called.

The Chiefs still find themselves up 21-10 about halfway through the third, thanks in large part to an offensive explosion in the first two quarters, led by Patrick Mahomes.

Though the lead could've been even greater had they converted in the red zone just before the half.

Kansas City's defense has also done their part to hold Joe Burrow and company down. The Bengals QB will look to make a little magic with the clock ticking on Cincy's Cinderella season.
