As if losing to the Kansas City Chiefs in sub-zero temperatures during the NFL playoffs wasn't distressing enough, the Miami Dolphins were forced to head home with over $45,000 worth of their equipment missing after someone raided one of their box trucks the day after the game.

But now it appears that the team will get a little bit of justice.

According to KMBC, Jackson County prosecutors have charged a man for breaking into the Dolphins' truck with a felony. Joseph Brown is the man listed on the charge.

Per the report, the theft happened in downtown Kansas City the day after the game. The suspected vehicle, a Ford F-150, was found at the suspect's home and later taken to a second location, where a stolen Dolphins coat was found. A search warrant was later executed, where more stolen Dolphins equipment and gear was found.

"Police reviewed surveillance footage and identified a suspect's vehicle, a gray Ford F-150. Later that day, the truck was found with equipment boxes matching the description of the Dolphins' equipment," the outlet reported.

"Detectives surveilled the home and saw a truck matching the suspect's description depart the area to a second location, where a stolen Miami Dolphins coat was found.

"Days later, a search warrant was executed at the home in the 2000 block of Askew Ave, revealing stolen Dolphins coats and other items, including burnt items with a Dolphins logo."

The sum total of the equipment stolen from the Dolphins is $46,376.

Per the report, court documents show that Brown has previously been found guilty of felonies.
