Week 1 of the 2021 college football season will feature arguably the biggest game of the year as No. 3 Clemson take on No. 5 Georgia in a non-conference battle. So who does ESPN's Mark May have winning the battle at Bank of America Stadium?

On the latest edition of The Crowds Line, the ESPN analyst initially argued that Clemson QB DJ Uiagalelei might have a rough time replacing three-year starter Trevor Lawrence. But he has bigger questions for the Bulldogs defense, which has only three returning starters.

May feels that it will be a close game. But he ultimately picked the Clemson Tigers to win it.

"Biggest game of the weekend. #Clemson's DJ Uiagalelei is the real deal replacing Lawrence. My question is - how will the #Bulldogs D be this season? Only returning 4 starters. Close game but (Clemson) wins."

Mark May's pick is pretty much right there with what the sports books are saying. Clemson are favored over Georgia by just three points.

It goes almost without saying that the loser of the game will have a lot of hard work to do in making their College Football Playoff case. And a blowout loss to either team could spell the end of their national title ambitions, even if they win their remaining games.

Then again, losing a game early in the season has been pretty well-proven to not matter when the voting comes around. It's not about how you start: It's how you finish.

But the winner of the game will in all likelihood head into Week 2 as a top-2 team.

Who do you have winning the Clemson-Georgia game?
