The Dallas Cowboys clearly have the best defender in the league right now in Micah Parsons. But could the All-Pro linebacker be looking to contribute to the team on the other side of the ball?

Appearing on the Pat McAfee Show this week, Parsons revealed that he has been getting some scout team reps at tight end recently. He said that head coach Mike McCarthy had the idea to give him something to do on the offense.

“Big Mike actually let me get a couple of scout team reps (at tight end),” Parsons said.

“I probably shouldn’t have spilled the tea (but) Mike’s super cool... I just keep showing him glimpses of whatever opportunities I can get. Just letting him know I want to touch the ball in the NFL.”

Micah Parsons hasn't played on the offensive side of the ball since he was a running back at Harrisburg High School. He had a knack for it though, racking up 1,239 rushing yards and 27 touchdowns as a senior. Parsons also caught some passes out of the backfield for 99 yards and two more touchdowns that year.

With someone as talented as Parsons on his roster, Mike McCarthy is almost doing a disservice to the team not to try and give him as many reps as possible if he has the skills to contribute.

Will we see Parsons lining up on offense in the near future?
