Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff has his team at 5-1 on the season and in a commanding lead in the NFC North. But while he's the talk of the NFL right now, Michael Irvin isn't a fan of one narrative around him.

On Friday's edition of Fox Sports' Undisputed, Irvin was asked if Goff is the "most underrated quarterback in the NFL." While Irvin said that Goff is certainly underrated, he could not go so far as to call him the "most underrated" quarterback.

Irvin explained that he had to place Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy ahead of him on that list simply because both are still seen as "system quarterbacks."

Nevertheless, Jared Goff has looked like a different man since joining the Lions in a trade with the Rams back in 2021. He's cut down significantly on the turnovers while his completion percentage has enjoyed a nice little spike.

Goff made the Pro Bowl last year after throwing for over 4,400 yards and 29 touchdowns.

Through six games, Goff is already on pace to throw for even more touchdowns than last year and enjoy another 4,000-yard season in Detroit.

Where do you think Goff ranks among the NFL's quarterbacks right now.
