After missing the playoffs in two straight seasons with the Washington Wizards, Kristaps Porzingis is being linked to an NBA title contender ahead of tomorrow's NBA Draft.

According to NBA insider Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium, the Boston Celtics have emerged as a potential trade partner with the Wizards. Per the report, Porzingis could opt in to his $36 million player option before accepting a trade to Boston.

"The Celtics are pursuing Kristaps Porzingis from the Wizards in a potential opt in-and-trade deal, sources tell me. I'm told Boston and Washington have been in discussions on potential framework (of a deal). Porzingis navigates the decision on his $36 million player option for next season. The Wizards have shown a level of interest in bringing back Porzingis on a new deal, but there have also been contenders reaching out with interest in the 7-foot-3 big man," Charania said.

NBA fans certainly seem interested in the idea:

Kristaps Porzingis has quietly been improving by leaps and bounds over the past few seasons and is coming off career highs in shooting.

While he may not be seen as an All-Star center right now, he could very well turn into one with the right supporting cast.

Would Porzingis be a good fit in Boston?
