There are a lot of stats that allow us to quantify who the best and worst quarterbacks in the NFL on a week-to-week basis are. But one NFL analyst made an interesting discovery as to who the league's most "inconsistent" quarterback is.

Taking to Twitter over the weekend, Aaron Schatz of Football Outsiders revealed that he recently analyzed whether Bills quarterback Josh Allen was as inconsistent as people told him he was. Schatz used the Defense-adjusted Yards Above Replacement (DYAR) model to find the answer.

To his surprise, Schatz found that Allen was only the second-most inconsistent quarterback in the league. Taking the top spot was none other than Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott.

Schatz found that Dak had a standard deviation of 111 total DYAR. He narrowly edged out Allen's 110.

Dak Prescott was certainly prone to some up and down games this past season. Between Weeks 10 and 14, Dak had two games with a passer rating over 100 and two games with a passer rating below 60.

As Dak's play in games went, so did the Cowboys' play for the most part. The Cowboys lost three out of four games where he had a passer rating below 75 - one of those games was their Wild Card playoff game against the San Francisco 49ers.

But that isn't to say that there was by any means an even split between good and bad games. Dak had 12 games with a passer rating above 80, 10 games over 100, five games over 120 and two over 140. The Cowboys went 7-0 in games with a passer rating above 107.

Do you feel that Dak Prescott is the most inconsistent quarterback?
