NFL Fans React To The New 'Monday Night Football' Anthem
On Monday night, ESPN debuted a new "anthem" for its Monday Night Football broadcast.
Before the Carolina Panthers squared off against the New Orleans Saints and Pittsburgh Steelers battled the Cleveland Browns, the network unveiled its new song. The song featured Chris Stapleton, Snoop Dogg and Cindy Blackman Santana on drums.
Sung in a variation of "In The Air Tonight" it was a hit.
"I absolutely love the 'In the Air Tonight' Snoop/Stapleton MNF remix! It needs to be released as a single!!" one fan said.
"Really like this new version of In the Air Tonight for Monday Night Football," added another.
"Chris Stapleton x Snoop Dogg = MNF… best intro ever," added a third.
Joe Buck was fired up about ESPN releasing the song on Monday night.
"To say that I am excited to follow this every Monday night is a gross understatement. My God THIS is the way to welcome an audience to a game. Cannot wait for it to air tonight and every week. Espn crushed this. Honored for my voice to follow these legends," he tweeted.
ESPN and ABC will have another double-header coming next Monday night as Philadelphia Eagles travel to Tampa for a battle against the Buccaneers while the Cincinnati Bengals host the Los Angeles Rams.
