Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs offense are setting the tone early in Kansas City.

On KC's opening drive, Mahomes went 5-5 for 48 yards and a touchdown to Tyreek Hill in the back of the endzone. He also added an 11-yard scramble for a first-down.

Mahomeboy was up to his usual tricks on the Chiefs' first possession, and fans took notice. "Patrick Mahomes has never lost a playoff game where he has led by a TD or more," noted NFL writer Jeff Kerr. "8-0 record entering today."

"Bengals employed two-high zone coverage on all five of [the Chiefs'] pass attempts on the first drive," tweeted ESPN analytics writer Seth Walder.

"If I tried to catch that Patrick Mahomes TD throw..." commented Yahoo Fantasy Sports' handle.

"People really woke up today and thought Mahomes was losing," laughed one user.

"Mahomes makes once-a-career throws like 3-5 times a game," remarked writer David Gardner.

As noted on the CBS broadcast, when Tyreek Hill scores a TD, the Chiefs are 21-0.
