To be an owner of an NFL team, it's obvious that you have to be in an absurdly high tax bracket. Las Vegas Raiders owner Mark Davis proved exactly that when an artistic rendering of his new house went viral on social media on Wednesday.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal shared an image of the new home that Davis is currently building in Henderson, Nevada. The Raiders owner wanted to honor the organization in a unique way, so the render bears striking resemblances to the team's state-of-the-art practice facility, as well as the newly constructed Allegiant Stadium.
To be frank, Davis's new home looks like a spaceship. Here's a picture of the owner's future digs, alongside the Raiders practice facility:
The Review-Journal shared additional details on the house Wednesday. Davis's home will reportedly span over 15,000 square feet and have a valuation of $14 million. The house will also come with numerous amenities.
“According to the project plans, the house would have a ‘man cave,’ a prep kitchen, a bar, a steam room, a library, a sleek pool area, a porte-cochere and an area for ‘guest/vendor parking,'" the Review-Journal wrote.
NFL fans could hardly believe their eyes when the image of the Raiders owner's new home surfaced. Many pointed out that the new digs have some serious similarities to something out of Star Wars, while others were just stunned that Davis was even building the house.
Davis took over as the Raiders’ principal owner in 2011, but the organization has been in his family for much longer. As the son of the legendary Al Davis, it's only natural that he would always have the franchise on the brain.
Once his new house is built, he'll get the chance to feel like he's never away from the Raiders practice facility.
