NFL World Reacts To Aaron Rodgers Retreat Details
Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has reportedly emerged from his "darkness retreat" as he clears his head for the 2023 NFL offseason. While we still don't know what he plans to do next, we now know how he was spending his time.
According to ESPN's Xuan Thai, Scott Berman of Sky Cave - the facility where Rodgers spent his time - explained that Rodgers was situated in a partially-underground structure with about 300 square feet of space. The amenities included a queen-sized bed, bathroom and meditation mat. It was also fully powered, so Rodgers could have turned the lights on whenever he wanted to.
"Berman said the room in which Rodgers spent his time is a partially underground, Hobbit-like structure with 300 square feet of space, devoid of light, with a queen bed, a bathroom and a meditation-like mat on the floor. It is fully powered, so at any point, the lights can be turned on from inside the room," Thai wrote.
As for meals, Berman would personally deliver a day's worth of meals to Rodgers through a two-way wooden door. It would be the only way for Rodgers to get any sense of what time of day it was.
Football fans had a field day with all of that. Some drew comparisons to The Hobbit, while others thought it was just plain weird:
As interesting as that all sounds, football fans are more concerned with what Aaron Rodgers has planned now that the darkness retreat is over.
Rodgers indicated that he would make a decision on the 2023 season soon after emerging from the darkness.
What do you think Rodgers will do next?
