It's been an odd season for the Houston Texans and it got even odder on Sunday morning.

The Houston Texans will be without one of their top defensive players on Sunday. Defensive back Justin Reid is being held out of Sunday's game due to disciplinary reasons.

"Texans starting safety Justin Reid is a healthy scratch today in a coach's decision. This is consistent with how coach David Culley has handled other players' individual situations this season, including Desmond King and Zach Cunningham," Aaron Wilson tweeted.

It's unclear what Reid did for discipline.

Fans are confused. "This is honestly ridiculous. Get rid of Culley. Reid is our best defensive player," one fan tweeted. "What is going on man... Justin Reid is a culture problem now... He's been the complete opposite of that his whole career... Must be a tough culture," another fan added on Twitter. "Benching Justin Reid so we can fall to 2-9 is just fantastic tank commanding by this goddam poverty franchise Hope Justin gets to find a franchise worth his time asap, he doesn’t deserve this," another fan added.

The Texans and the Jets are set to kick off at 1 p.m. E.T.
