It's been a day to forget for New York Jets rookie quarterback Zach Wilson, who's struggling mightily against the New England Patriots.
Wilson, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, is having arguably the worst game of any quarterback so far this season.
The former BYU Cougars star just threw his fourth interception of the game. We're a little more than a half into Sunday afternoon's contest between the Jets and the Patriots.
Wilson's day started in brutal fashion. His first two pass attempts of the game were picked off by Bill Belichick's defense.
Wilson hasn't improved from there, either. The Jets quarterback has thrown two more interceptions since his rough start to the contest.
Wilson has now thrown five interceptions as an NFL quarterback. He's roughly 1.5 games into his professional career.
There have been plenty of quarterbacks to throw a bunch of interceptions as a rookie - Peyton Manning comes to mind - but this obviously isn't the start Jets fans had in mind for Wilson.
Going up against a Bill Belichick defense in your second career start is not easy, though, that is for sure.
