Notre Dame has officially finalized its football schedule for the 2022 season.

Marcus Freeman will make his head coaching debut against the Ohio State Buckeyes from the Horsehoe on Sept. 3.

After that, ND will get two home games from South Bend against Marshall and California. This will be the Fighting Irish's first-ever game against the Thundering Herd.

ND will also get its fresh slate of ACC competitions throughout the season. The Fighting Irish will travel to Chapel Hill to take on the North Carolina Tar Heels before later hosting the Clemson Tigers in November.

They'll also play the Syracuse Orange at the Carrier Dome and then host the Eagles of Boston College.

The regular games against Stanford and USC are still featured, with USC being the last game of the season. The contest against Stanford will be in mid-October.

This is a schedule that sets up Freeman to have a lot of success. He has a lot of talented players returning for next season and based on how respected he is there, that should go a long way in terms of having success.
