Green Bay Packers fans woke up to some pretty encouraging news about their starting quarterback on Sunday morning.

Many believe that Rodgers has played his last game for the NFC North franchise. The MVP quarterback requested a trade last offseason. The Packers didn't grant that request, though most speculated that it would happen in 2022.

But maybe it will not.

According to a report from NFL Network, Rodgers chose to stick around in Green Bay following the Divisional Round loss to the San Francisco 49ers.

Rodgers reportedly wanted to stick around so he could go over potential offseason plans with the Packers front office.

This feels significant.

Packers fans are understandably excited.

Not everyone is buying into the "one more year" talk, though.

"If he stays it needs to be under one of two circumstances. He signs an extension he plans to play out, or he tells them he’s retiring at the end of the season. Him playing out next year and becoming a free agent just to “run it back” one more time would be awful for GB," one fan admitted.

Others are speculating about Jordan Love's future.

"Jordan Love to Denver? If Hackett thought well of him, why wouldn’t that be on the table? Maybe that’s the GB QB going to Denver…" another fan predicted.

It's already been an eventful offseason for the Packers, as they've lost multiple assistant coaches. But maybe they will not be losing their star quarterback...
