Paul Pierce's infamous "Wheelchair Game" has sparked years of NBA conspiracy theories.

After being wheeled off the court with what looked to be a serious shoulder injury in Game 1 of the 2008 NBA Finals, Pierce returned to the court far quicker than anyone expected. Because of this, fans have developed all sorts of stories about what went down in the Celtics' locker room: the most popular being an emergency bathroom scenario.

Back in 2019, Pierce fed into this theory by admitting "I just had to go to the bathroom."

The NBA champion later said he was just joking, but fans from around the league are still not convinced.

">with The Athletic, What Did I Miss?, Pierce attempted to set the record straight with a hilarious justification. "If you poop your pants, does it make sense to sit down and mush it in a wheelchair? ... You don't sit down on your poop, right?" he asked.

The NBA world may never fully believe him, but this is Pierce's story and he's sticking to it.
