Samford got jobbed by the officials at the end of Thursday night's game against Kansas.

Facing a one-point deficit with seconds remaining, Samford's A.J. Staton-McCray chased down Nick Timberlake and appeared to cleanly block Timberlake's shot but the refs didn't see it that way.

The refs called a foul and sent Timberlake to the line, which basically ended the game.

Kansas won by four, 93-89, and after the game, Samford head coach Bucky McMillan had a great response when he was asked about the call.

"I have seen the play. I thought A.J. made an incredible play on it, you know what I'm saying? I'm not faulting the call. Some people can see it different ways. But I was really proud of our guys' ability to go make a play," McMillan said. "At the end of the day, A.J.'s recovery there, if there is no whistle, I'm not blaming the whistle but if there's no whistle, we're going to have a numbers advantage going the other way to advance to round two. That's how close the game was."

Even though McMillan could've gone after the refs, he decided to point out how great of a game it was and how proud he was of his players.

That's some great class from the Samford head coach.
