Sports Fans Are Celebrating Sister Jean's 104th Birthday

The breakout star of the 2018 NCAA Tournament was the Loyola Ramblers beloved mascot and chaplain Sister Jean. Today, she celebrated a very special milestone.

Today is Sister Jean Dolores-Schmidt's 104th birthday. Across the country, college basketball fans who got to see and meet Sister Jean over the past few NCAA Tournament appearance for Loyola have paid tribute to her.

"Happy 104th birthday to the best friend, advisor and co-author a man could ask for. Sister Jean is a true a gift from God. Can’t wait to see what the next 100 years brings!" CBS Sports college hoops insider Seth Davis wrote.

"Happy 104th birthday to Sister Jean! On the day Sister Jean was born, Shoeless Joe Jackson went 3-for-5 with three RBI for the team that would become known as the Black Sox. The Cubs beat the Phillies 5-1 in a game that took just one hour and 39 minutes. The Bears, Bulls and Blackhawks did not exist," CHGO Sports wrote.

"Join us in wishing Sister Jean a Happy 104th Birthday today!" Loyola University Chicago said.

It's truly remarkable how the world has changed since Sister Jean was born.
