On Friday night, the National Basketball Association handed out a fine to the face of the league.

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James received a $15,000 fine for making an "obscene gesture" on the court. The gesture came after he and the Lakers took down the Indiana Pacers earlier this week.

"Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James has been fined $15,000 for making an obscene gesture on the playing court and warned for using profane language during media availability in response to league imposed discipline, it was announced today by Byron Spruell, President, League Operations," the league said in a statement.

Immediately after the news broke, fans flocked to social media to react to the news.

Of course, $15,000 to LeBron James isn't very much and fans pointed that out very quickly.

Here's some of the reaction from around social media.

"how is he supposed to feed his family," one fan said sarcastically.

LeBron's bank account should be just fine moving forward.

As for the Lakers, that's another story. The team continues to struggle despite having LeBron James back in the starting lineup.

A loss to the Sacramento Kings saw the Lakers fall to 10-11 on the season.
