ESPN's Stephen A. Smith took some serious heat from baseball fans this week for his comments on Los Angeles Angels star Shohei Ohtani.

Ohtani, a pitcher and outfielder, is having a sensational season for the Angels. However, Los Angeles is struggling as a team - and Ohtani isn't hitting for a superb batting average - so Stephen A. isn't buying into all of the hype.

Smith made sure to remind everyone that he "don’t give a damn” about baseball and is not impressed by Ohtani's numbers. Baseball fans were quick to take to Twitter to call out Stephen A. Smith for his take.

Baseball is a team sport, of course, and the Angels need to be better. They've struggled with the best player in the game, Mike Trout, and they've continued to struggle despite adding players like Ohtani and Anthony Rendon. However, that should not take away from Ohtani's greatness. It's been a long time since we've seen a player have success on the mound and at the plate. Unsurprisingly, Stephen A. Smith does not really care about that. He had a blunt message for angry baseball fans this week. "STHU! I talk about what I want to talk about," he tweeted.

Fair enough, but baseball fans will also be sure to criticize him when appropriate.
