Stephen A. Smith Rips Michigan Coach For Crying In Postgame Interview
ESPN's Stephen A. Smith did not love what he saw from Michigan's Sherrone Moore after the Wolverines win in Happy Valley over the weekend.
Speaking on the emotional postgame interview Moore gave on Monday morning's "Get Up," Smith thought it was a bit over the top given the situation at hand.
I don't know why the hell the coach is on national TV crying like that. I don't understand that. What are you crying for? Stop it. You beat Penn State, which we expected you to do, you're going to beat Maryland, which we expect you to do. We'll see what you do vs. Ohio State, but you got a coach that's still eligible to coach in the postseason if you get to the College Football Playoff.
Stephen A. then shifted into his thoughts on Harbaugh's punishment which he also didn't care for.
This is not about Harbaugh. This is about the fact that the program allegedly, supposedly — according to the Big Ten, maybe the NCAA — acquired an unfair advantage. Why are you being allowed in the College Football Playoff if it comes down to that?
Smith has been very vocal about his opinion that Michigan shouldn't be allowed in the Playoff with this investigation ongoing.
As of now, Jim Harbaugh will sit out the two remaining games on the regular season schedule and be back for the CFP should the Wolverines make it there.
