The Phoenix Suns have reportedly narrowed their head coaching search down to five finalists: Nick Nurse, Frank Vogel, Doc Rivers, Kings assistant Jordi Fernandez and Suns assistant Kevin Young.

NBA insider Shams Charania was the first to report this list.

The Suns are on the hunt for their next head coach after the dismissal of Monty Williams, who failed to get past the Denver Nuggets in Round 2.

Three of the Suns' five finalists have head coaching experience, and each of those three have an NBA title to their name. Nick Nurse led the Toronto Raptors to an NBA Championship in 2019, and Frank Vogel brought the Los Angeles Lakers to a title in 2020.

Doc Rivers claimed his NBA title with the Boston Celtics in 2008. He was fired by the Philadelphia 76ers after failing to make it past his former Celtics team in Round 2 of this year's postseason.

Suns assistant Kevin Young has been with the team since 2020 and has head coaching experience with three different G-League squads. He took over as associate head coach under Williams in 2021.

Kings assistant Jordi Fernandez served on Michael Malone's Denver Nuggets staff from 2016 to 2022. This past season, he helped unanimous Coach of the Year Mike Brown lead Sacramento to an overachieving campaign.
