The shorthanded Houston Texans pulled off a massive upset over the Chargers on Sunday. And now the team is getting a number of key pieces back from the COVID list, including wide receiver Brandin Cooks.

Per Texans reporter Aaron Wilson, 16 players have been activated off the team's reserve/COVID-19 list. Headlined by Houston's leading receiver.

It's been a mostly putrid year in Houston, but Cooks has been one of the team's lone bright spots. The 28-year-old wideout is on pace to post his sixth 1,000-yard receiving season in eight seasons. In 14 games with the Texans this year, Cooks has reeled in 80 catches for 945 and five touchdowns.

In addition to Cooks' return, Houston is also getting back offensive linemen Justin Britt and Lane Taylor. As well as a handful of key defensive players and placekicker Ka'imi Fairbairn.

The Texans pack up for a game against the 49ers on Sunday. 4-11 Houston will try to ride the momentum of last week's upset win into Week 17.

After a 2-11 start, the Texans have won each of their last two games.
