College football season officially starts on Saturday when Miami and Florida do battle in one of the better non-conference matchups of the 2019 campaign. We've held out long enough - here are our staff picks for the coming season.

Four of our nine writers are taking Alabama to reestablish itself as king of college football. Only one - Chris Rosvoglou - sees Clemson repeating as the national champion.

Two of us are taking Georgia to finally get over the hump and win it all. There's also one pick for Oklahoma and one pick for Texas.

It's also worth noting that only one of us, Tzvi Machlin, has Michigan reaching the College Football Playoff. None of us have the Wolverines winning the national title.

Here are our picks heading into the 2019 season:

The Pac-12 doesn't get a whole heck of a lot of love from us either. Only one of us has any of the conference's teams in the playoff.

This year's College Football Playoff will feature semifinal contests at both the Fiesta Bowl and the Peach Bowl on December 28. The national championship game will be played on January 13 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans.

College football fans - which of us have it right this year?
