Those hoping to see Tiger Woods back on the golf course in the near future received some incredible news on Wednesday afternoon.

Earlier this week, a report emerged suggesting Woods might be stepping back on the course later this month. According to Golf.com's Dylan Dethier, Woods was considering playing in the PNC Championship which is scheduled to tee off on December 18.

Well, Woods finally gave official confirmation that he'll be back on the course in just two weeks. That's right, Woods is back!

Although it’s been a long and challenging year, I am very excited to close it out by competing in the @PNCchampionship with my son Charlie. I’m playing as a Dad and couldn’t be more excited and proud.

">@PNCchampionship with my son Charlie," Woods said today. "I’m playing as a Dad and couldn’t be more excited and proud."

Last week, Woods made it clear he will likely never play full time on the PGA Tour again. However, he expects to be able to compete in at least a few tournaments every year.

“I think something that is realistic is playing the Tour one day—never full time, ever again—but pick and choose, just like Mr. (Ben) Hogan did. Pick and choose a few events a year and you play around that,” Woods said during a Zoom interview with Koyack, via Golf Digest. “You practice around that, and you gear yourself up for that. I think that’s how I’m going to have to play it from now on. It’s an unfortunate reality, but it’s my reality. And I understand it, and I accept it.”

The game of golf is just better when Tiger is playing.
