Urban Meyer Sends Clear Message About Jaguars' Locker Room

The start of the Urban Meyer era in Jacksonville has not gone very well.

The Jaguars have opened the 2021 regular season with three straight losses. Jacksonville was blown out in Week 1 and fell to Denver and Arizona in Weeks 2 and 3, respectively.

The team played hard on Sunday, though. The Jaguars stuck with the Cardinals for most of the contest before ultimately coming up a little bit short.

Meyer is understandably frustrated by the 0-3 start, but he remains optimistic about the future. In fact, he said it's the best locker room he's ever been around.

"We're going to get this thing going," Meyer said after the 0-3 start. "I know I said that last week, but damn we played hard out there. Our players played their asses off. We just have to eliminate some mistakes and learn how to win. The locker room is as good a locker room as I've ever had."

It's been a rocky start for No. 1 overall pick Trevor Lawrence, too.

"I just grabbed him afterward and I can't remember what I said to him, but we've got a great relationship and the players and coaches love him to death," Meyer added.

The Jaguars will look to get their first win of the season on Thursday night against the Bengals.
