We all wish the people of New Orleans and Louisiana well as Hurricane Ida threatens the city and the surrounding areas. As the storm made landfall though, there was one interesting video of a grocery store that went viral.
Citizens cleared out a local grocery store as they fled the city to avoid the dangerous storm. But one snack item was conspicuously left behind: Anthony Davis Lime & Jalapeno Ruffles.
Anthony Davis played for the New Orleans Pelicans from 2012 to 2019 before forcing his way out of the city in a trade with the Lakers. He ticked off a ton of New Orleans and greater Louisiana sports fans, and they reminded the world that they're still bitter.
The caption for the video was "No one wants this a-ole's ruffles" - a pretty strong hint. And fans in comments noted how well the city of New Orleans can hold a grudge.
"I like the product placement. Bottom shelf. The least popular items reside there...." one fan replied to the above post.
"We don’t care how bad the storm is if you cross us we will be as petty as possible," wrote another fan.
"I’m an AD fan but this is hilarious," another fan replied.
"The best part here is that you KNOW he is going to see this," one person noted.
There's clearly no love lost between the city of New Orleans and their former star forward. Not even a dangerous hurricane can change that.
