LSU's head basketball coach Will Wade had a pretty awesome reaction to Monday night's Brian Kelly news.

Kelly is LSU's newest football coach. He's replacing Ed Orgeron. Orgeron and LSU agreed to part ways several weeks ago.

Kelly is now in Baton Rouge and wants to get LSU back in the championship picture. Wade thinks it's only a matter of time before he gets there.

Will's brother, Jay, called him after hearing of the Kelly news. Jay went to Notre Dame and is pretty upset LSU hired him. Will thinks that's a good sign.

“My brother (Jay) went to Notre Dame is a huge fan. He called me last night and he was not happy, so I took that as a good sign. … He’s going to win. He’s won everywhere he’s been. Now you’re putting him at a place with unlimited resources,” Wade said,

It didn't take long for Brian Kelly to leave Notre Dame.

Believe it or not, the Fighting Irish have a path to the College Football Playoff, but Kelly didn't want to wait it out and see. He was ready to move on.

He sent a brief text to his players following Monday night's news.

“Men… Let me first apologize for the late night text and, more importantly, for not being able to share the news with you in person that I will be leaving Notre Dame. I am flying back to South Bend tonight to be able to meet with you in the morning but the news broke late today and I am sorry you found out through social media or news reports,” Kelly sent to his players.

LSU believes it has two of the top coaches in Brian Kelly and Will Wade. Time will tell.
