Wisconsin head coach Marisa Moseley is in the headlines this afternoon after describing the diversity of her Badgers team.

During her comments, Moseley noted the team has players from several different nations. She mentioned players from Nigeria, Mexico and the Dominican Republic before noting the "run of the mill white" kids on her team.

“If you look at my team, you know, we’re pretty much the United Nations. I have the first Indian woman to ever play at the Power 5. I have kids who are Nigerian and kids who are Dominican and kids who are Mexican and kids who are run of the mill white because they’re still there too,” Moseley said.

Knowing what would come next, Moseley attempted to clarify that being white was not a problem. "My mom is white just so nobody is offended," she said. "My mom is a white woman from the Berkshires. Very white."

And yet, there were still plenty of people on social media offended by the comments.

The video was shared by radio host Dan O'Donnell, who claimed Moseley was "bemoaning" the fact that there are white kids on her roster.

"University of Wisconsin Women's Basketball Coach Marisa Moseley praises her team's diversity as a 'mini United Nations' but bemoans the presence of 'run-of-the-mill white kids,'" he said.

Some agree and think her comments were insensitive.

"I don't know much about her win- loss record as a coach but I do know she's likely lost the respect of certain of her players by publicly denigrating them in this way. In a fair world, she should lose her job," one person said.

Others don't agree.

"Uh what?" one person questioned. "She did not bemoan the presence of white kids. She just stated that there are kids from all around the world on her team, but you want to be victims so bad."

What do you think about her comments?
