Amazon Prime Makes Decision On Melania Trump Film
Donald Trump isn't the only member of his family that the media is focused on heading into 2025. Melania Trump is set to have a lot of eyeballs on her, too.
The soon-to-be First Lady of the United States is set to have a special film released about her. Amazon Prime has reportedly made a decision on a documentary about the former First Lady of the United States, who is set to get back in office later this month.
Donald Trump topped Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election back in November. He reached 312 Electoral College votes, topping Kamala Harris. Melania Trump will join her husband at the White House later this month.
Amazon Prime's video streaming service is doing a film in cooperation with Melania Trump.
From the report:
The film is being done with her cooperation, and she will have an executive producer credit on the movie, Amazon said Sunday. Filming of the “behind-the-scenes” look at her life began in December, a month after President-elect Donald Trump’s election victory. The project is expected to be released in the second half of 2025. Amazon said it has both theatrical and streaming rights to the film.
Amazon’s announcement of the film acquisition comes after the Jeff Bezos-founded company planned a $1 million donation to Trump’s inaugural fund, according to people familiar with the matter, The Wall Street Journal previously reported.
Amazon founder Jeff Bezos has a lot of ties to the Trump administration. He's reportedly been spending a lot of time down in Palm Beach at Mar-A-Lago, too.
The connections to the Trump administration are only going to continue from here, it looks like.
