Prayers are pouring in after two U.S. hunters were found dead.

Two U.S. hunters, aged in their 60s and 70s, were found dead inside of a cabin in New York. The brothers were on a hunting trip. Tragically, they appear to have been killed by their other brother.

Scott Thompson, 65, was arrested after an alleged shooting at a cabin in New York. He and his brothers were on a weekend hunting trip. An argument at the cabin got physical, with Thompson allegedly shooting his brothers with a hunting rifle.

“Police said Thompson called 911 around 10 p.m. the night of the murders, reporting that the three brothers had been arguing after drinking. The argument escalated into a physical altercation, investigators said,” ABC 7 reported.

“Thompson then shot and killed his brothers with a rifle, according to police.”

Prayers are pouring in for their friends and family members.

“What a horrific tragedy heading into Thanksgiving. So awful,” one wrote.

“Praying for their families today. Such a tragedy,” one wrote.

“May they rest in peace,” one added.

“So, so tragic,” one shared.

Police are heartbroken, too. It was a horrible scene for them to arrive upon following the 9-1-1 call.

“These gentlemen are in their late 60s, 70 years old, so they have kids, possibly even grandkids,” one officer said. “We’re coming into the holiday season. It is a very tragic event.”

Our thoughts are with the friends and family members of everyone impacted.
