Angel Reese Shares Thanksgiving Message For Her Fans

Angel Reese certainly had plenty to be thankful for in 2024.

After closing out her outstanding college career at LSU, Reese was drafted No. 7 overall in the WNBA Draft by the Chicago Sky. As a rookie, she led the league in rebounds and broke the WNBA record for consecutive double-doubles, becoming one of only two first-year players to make this year's All-Star roster.

Off the court, Reese has landed several high-profile sponsorship deals, including Reebok and Reese's Pieces, and she's also increased her footing in the world of fashion, which has always been of great interest to the Baltimore native.

Today, on Thanksgiving, Reese sent a message to her many fans on X/Twitter.

"Happy thanksgiving to my Reese’s Pieces," Reese wrote.

As good as 2024 was for Reese, 2025 has the potential to be even better, starting with her debut in the new Unrivaled 3-on-3 women's basketball league, which is set to get underway in January in Miami.

“Nobody wants to go overseas. A lot of us never wanna have to go overseas, but some people do have to go overseas unfortunately, so being able to make six figures within three months, being able to be housed in Miami, just being able to get better," Reese said of Unrivaled, which was founded by WNBA stars Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart.

“Being able to know two great players that are starting something, I think it’s amazing."

Reese will play for Rose Basketball Club with Unrivaled, alongside fellow WNBA stars Chelsea Gray, Brittney Sykes, Kahleah Copper. Lexie Hull and Azura Stevens. The club's first game will take place at 8:15 p.m. ET on Friday, January 17, with TNT broadcasting the action.

When the 2025 WNBA season begins in late spring, Reese will once again be expected to be one of the league's bright young stars for a Sky team that is entering a new era under first-year head coach Tyler Marsh.
