Even after a shortened season, the XFL is starting to become a legitimate breeding ground for players to make the jump to the NFL.
XFL star P.J. Walker signed with the Panthers on Monday morning. According to the latest report, another XFL QB is receiving interest from several NFL teams.
St. Louis Battlehawks QB Jordan Ta’amu is hearing from several NFL teams, all of which hope to sign the Ole Miss alum, according to NFL insider Tom Pelissero.
Ta’amu spent less than a month in the NFL after signing with the Texans in Aug. of 2019 prior to getting released just a few weeks later. The dual-threat passer then signed with the XFL late last year. Ta’amu impressed many in just five games of action withe Battlehawks this season.

In five games with the Battlehawks, Ta’amu threw for 1,050 yards on 72 percent completion and five touchdowns. He also added 241 yards on the ground and an additional score.
There’s a strong chance the Ole Miss alum “could have a home as soon as today,” per Pelissero. With plenty of NFL teams in the market for a quarterback, the high demand is creating a sense of urgency.
Looks like Ta’amu’s days in the XFL are potentially coming to a close for now.
